About us - Much more than empty Cartridges
Ingo Wegner founded Datatrans on the 1st of November 1998 as a company active in collecting used toner and inkjet cartridges. The idea was to make the best possible use of the recycling opportunity of empty cartridges. While the company's slogan of "Geld für Müll" (cash for trash) was in its internet address (www.geldfuermuell.de), it wasn't reflected in the company's name. A decision was made to rename the company geldfuermuell GmbH on 01.04.2003 to reflect the company's slogan.
By this time, the company had 15 permanent employees, 3 of whom are responsible of administrative duties including purchasing, logistics, accounts receivable. Providing a fast, reliable and flexible service, while operating a fair pricing structure and payable management. The remaining 12 employees are involved in quality and quantity control, dispatch and warehousing across an area of 1,200 square metes.
Even though the company has changed its name, it hasn't changed its policy. It still attaches a great deal of importance to providing a fast, reliable and flexible service, while operating a fair pricing structure. Indeed, growing sales figures and over 4,000 suppliers of empty cartridges from across the world prove our business policy.
In order to provide our customers with an even more comprehensive service, we have been producing Toner Cartridges and Ink-Jet Cartridges since the 1st of June 2003 under the name of Original Highlife GfM.
